5Ireland is Exceptional and Nostalgic

Travelled to Ireland for 8 days. Spent 2 days in Dublin, hired a car and drove across to the West Coast. Stayed in Galway and Doolin and visited the Aran Islands. If you want authentic Ireland and feel like you have gone back in time, then these are your places! - Christopher  Apr 14, 2018
5Dublin: a mixed bag

I really did not know what to expect when I visited Dublin in March 2018. What I discovered was a mixed bag of vibrant and energetic city dwellers and many visitors in an historic city with every kind of restaurant and retail shop and quaint pubs at every corner. Once you get the hang of the city and its Quay-sections along the River Liffey, which runs through the center of the city, with many pedestrian-friendly little bridges crossing over to the other side, depending on whether you are looking to shop, eat or pub-party. We stayed at a great hostel in the heart of the city for $30 a night. This is the best way to meet fellow travellers from all over the world. We also did the city bus tour which gives you an idea of where the main city attractions are, everything from the Guiness tours, to museums, to Trinity College, and King Henry's Pearce Gardens. All in all, the wonderful cobblestone streets of old Dublin, the statue of Molly Malone, the beautiful image of the lit up bridges at night over the Liffey and the liveliness of the city and the people will remain in my memory forever. - Regena  Mar 18, 2018
