Reykjavik Travelers' Reviews

5Trip for the Bucket List

This trip to Iceland was marvelous. 11 days of driving the ring road around the whole Island, exploring the different regions, and spending much of the time outdoors. We climbed to the top of waterfalls, walked to magnificent glaciers, explored various black sand beaches - one with glacier ice decorating it at another with the formation of basalt structures. The exploration of several fjords, whale watching 50 kms. from the Arctic Circle, seal watching and seeing the Northern Lights....what a treat! The food, especially the various preparations of fish and lamb dishes were thoroughly enjoyed and the Lobster soups or other soups were welcomed on some of the cooler and windier days. Such different topography and friendly people made this a very special trip. Put a trip to Iceland on your list but be prepared for higher prices once there. - Beatrice  Oct 22, 2018
