Reasons to Book Cheap Brisbane Flights
Brisbane is the state capital of Queensland, Australia. This 19th century city can be best described as a stunning riverside garden metropolis for its lush greenery and eponymous river. Brisbane first appeared on global popularity index with the Commonwealth Games (1982) followed by the World Expo (1988). The city’s fingerprint is its distinct Queenslander architecture and pulsating nightlife, and with its music festivals, subtropical climate, and breathtaking scenery, it definitely ranks high on traveler’s itinerary!
Cultural Center
Cultural Centre consists of three art galleries and one museum, the latter being home to the tiny airplane that was first used for the first flight from England to Australia and the extinct mammoths.
City Hall
Once the tallest buildings in the city, the City Hall is the seat of Brisbane City Council and is one of Australia’s most famous landmarks. It is built in the Italian Renaissance architectural style and is hallmarked by a 70 meter high clock tower. On its central inside is a Roman auditorium with a seating capacity of 2500 people.
Wheel of Brisbane
The Wheel of Brisbane is a nearly 200 feet tall Ferris wheel installation in Brisbane, erected in 2008. It is situated at the transformed site of World Expo ‘88 alongside Brisbane River. It has 42 air-conditioned capsules that can seat up to six adults and two children each, with a total capacity of 336 passengers, it offers a breathtaking ride that lasts for more than ten minutes.
