Virginia State Capitol
Built in 1785 to 1788 to the design of Thomas Jefferson, Virginia State Capitol is an imposing white Capitol that witnessed numerous events in the Confederate history. There is a statue of George Washington in the lobby of the Capitol. Virginia State Capitol is located in a spacious park known as Capitol Square.
