Reasons to Book Cheap Boston Flights
Boston is the capital and largest city of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the United States. It is the literary epicenter of the nation, and is known as the Athens of America and the intellectual capital of the US because the city has been the workplace of some of the most eminent authors like Emerson, Thoreau and Hawthorne. The world-renowned universities, the Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), are also situated here. Boston also deserves the distinction that it stands between the Colonial Era and Revolutionary War, and has to its credit seventeen historical sites that are together connected by a 2.5 mile long stretch called Freedom Trail to form the numero uno attraction in the city. Boston is a city of many historical firsts, and is home to America’s first public park (Boston Commons, 1634 AD), first public school (Boston Latin School, 1635 AD) and first subway system (the T., 1897 AD).
Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile long pathway that passes through seventeen historic monuments starting from Boston Common to Bunker Hill Monument. A trip to this place is highly recommended.
Fanueil Hall
Fanueil Hall, or the Cradle of Liberty, was ranked 4th in America's 25 Most Visited Tourist Sites by Forbes Traveler in 2008. Its ground floor has been a famous a marketplace since 1743 and was once the meeting point of American patriots. On its fourth floor is the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Museum, with weaponry, uniforms, and paintings of significant battles. The Fanueil Hall also hosts political debates, and some important names like Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are associated with it.
Boston Museum Of Fine Arts
Boston Museum of Arts is known for its notable collection of French Impressionist paintings, Japanese art, and American arts besides a great many number of artifacts ofrom Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Also of note is the stunning façade of its momentous building, that seems to showcase salient features of both traditional and contemporary styles of architecture.
