Reasons to Book Cheap Santiago Flights
Santiago de Chile, or Santiago, is the capital and economic centre of Chile. This vibrant city has a profound artistic and cultural scene. The city is home to Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino (or the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art), which has a remarkable collection of 600 year old artifacts related to Incan Empire and Spanish Conquistadors. Major attractions for sightseeing in the city are Plaza de Armas (the Parade Square, it is the liveliest part of the city), Bellavista (a nightlife hotspot), and more.
Barrio Bellavista (Bellavista Neighborhood)
Santiago’s bohemian quarter, Barrio Bellavista lies between the Mapocho River and San Cristobal Hills. This posh location has a number of tree-lined grand mansions alongside colorful antique homes that are home to renowned artists.
Cerro San Cristobal (San Cristobal Hill)
Cerro San Cristobal is a hill in Santiago. It tops at a height of 850 meter and is the second highest point in the city after Cerro Renca. On its summit is a sanctuary dedicated to a 14 meter high statue of the Immaculate Conception and a 22 meter high statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The statue of Immaculate Conception is lit up at night and looks beautiful. At the foot of the statue there is an amphitheater for religious ceremonies, a small chapel for praying and a Japanese-style garden.
Gran Torre Santiago (Great Santiago Tower)
The Gran Torre Santiago is the tallest building in Latin America. This 64-story tall skyscraper has two public observation towers at floor 61 and 62 that offer a stunning 360-degree view of the city below.
