Lisbon Travelers' Reviews

5Portugal was a revelation!

Our 2 week Coimbra-Porto-Lisbon trip was simply lovely! Main interests architecture & art. Super selection of historic sites, museums and galleries to choose from. Stayed in apartment-hotels cheaply in convenient walk-transport locales. Portuguese people gracious and friendly, welcoming. High knowledge of English for communication with visitors. Great food choices (espec. bakeries!). Be prepared for hills - oh those sore thigh muscles! Try day trips to Costa Nova, Aveiro, Sintra ($), Monte Abrao, Belem, Mafra, etc. as transport options excellent. Cool nites but lovely warm afternoons in March. Highly recommend the convenience and savings of the Lisbon card, especially for transport. - Barbara  Mar 27, 2019
4Lisbon - an amazing city

Lisbon is definitely a city I would recommend seeing. There is so much history and so much beauty. I would definitely recommend taking a city tour, we didn't do this and wish we had. The city is so huge and spread out a tour when you first arrive would give you an idea of which parts you would like to concentrate on, especially if you are on a tight schedule. To see all the city has to offer would likely take a good four or five days. We did really enjoy our trip to Portugal. - Ian  Mar 03, 2019
