Situated at an elevation of 160 ft an owned by Government of Canada, Cfb Goose Bay is a Canadian Forces Base. It is located in the town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. This base is operated as an air force base by the Royal Canadian Air Force. This place is also the site of NATO tactical flight training in Canada. This base was previously known as the Royal Canadian Air Force Station and afterwards it was called as the United States Air Force Base that is known as the Goose AFB. It is known for housing units known as the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Defense Command. This base is known as home to Combat Support Squadron, it also serves as a forward operating base for NORAD CF-18 Hornet interceptors. This airfield is also used by the civilian aircraft, it is also classified as an airport of entry by the NAV CANADA and it has the staff of Canada Border Services Agency.
