The airlines commenced operations in 1978 and had its operating bases at Berlin Schonefeld Airport, Berlin Tegel Airport, Bremen Airport, Dresden Airport, Dusseldorf Airport, Erfurt-Weimar Airport, Friedrichshafen Airport, Hamburg Airport, Munich Airport, Munster Osnabruck International Airport, Nuremberg Airport, Pristina International Airport, Rostock-Laage Airport. Germania had codes share agreements with Sky Express.

The airlines sold Germania tickets for destinations in - Turkey, Greece, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and Egypt to name a few.
